Penguin Feet™
Laptop overheating? Chances are, if it hasn't already
done so, yours will start crashing and shutting down, due to overheating.
So what's the problem? It's very simple. The cooling fans
are located on the bottom of your laptop, and the rubber feet (if yours
still has them) only lift the laptop up off your desk about the height
of a stack of 3 or 4 pennies.
Go ahead, take a look…..we'll wait.
That's not even 1/4 of an inch, and that is simply not enough
to promote adequate airflow.
There are fancy temperature sensing programs you can run,
and you can even buy expensive, power-draining auxiliary fan units, but
Frey Innovations has developed a simple, inexpensive solution that targets
the cause of the problem… your laptop's feet.
